This course applies ONLY to educators and support staff working within an early education and child care setting, who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies.
Participants for all courses will be assessed using a combination of practical activities and the completion of the workbook theory component during class time.
Successful participants will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the following unit of Competency: HLTAID004 Provide Emergency First Aid Response in an Education Care Setting
This course covers the following:
-Choking and airway obstruction
-Fractures, Sprains and strains,
-using a arm sling, roller bandages or other appropriate immobilisation techniques.
-Respiratory distress, Asthma
-Bites and Stings
