This course covers the principles of basic food safety and their implementation in the workplace. Suitable for all food handlers in the hospitality industry. Covers cleaning and sanitising, food handling, temperature control, personal hygiene, pest control and waste disposal. This course is nationally recognised and satisfies the requirements from the unit of competency SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety from the Hospitality Training Package. Upon successful completion students will be issued a Statement of Attainment for this unit. Ideal for those seeking work in the hospitality industry.

With a Bachelor of Applied Science in Food Science and Technology, Melanie teaches Food Safety at MSA Training and Professional Development by drawing upon her industry experience. Melanie’s bright personality makes her an engaging trainer who is capable of passing her passion onto her students.
